Below are photos of resident events hosted by Plymouth Place.
Dole Hall Presents is a resident-curated series featuring local, regional, and national acts. Musical performances come from many styles and spoken word performances vary from lectures on significant topics to historical reenactments. Dole Hall Presents happens regularly, typically three times a month.
A treasured Plymouth Place annual tradition, Library Happening supports the amazing resident-run Plymouth Place Bessie Roose Library. Event includes a top-notch luncheon and an engaging living-history presentation. Recently, award-winning actress Leslie Goddard portrayed a stewardess for Pan Am in the 1960s (’24) and renowned Chef Julia Child (’23).
The ROMEOs & JULIETs was started by residents who just wanted to get together regularly to enjoy good food and build good friendships. So, the men of Plymouth Place started “Retired Old Men Eating Out”, or the ROMEOs, and in response, the women of Plymouth Place started their own group, “Just Us Ladies Into Eating Together,” the JULIETs. Each group dines offsite at a local restaurant and new friends are always welcome!
