Neighborhood Events

Below are photos of resident events hosted by Plymouth Place.

Dole Hall Presents

Dole Hall Presents is a resident-curated series featuring local, regional, and national acts. Musical performances come from many styles and spoken word performances vary from lectures on significant topics to historical reenactments. Dole Hall Presents happens regularly, typically three times a month.

Library Happenings

A treasured Plymouth Place annual tradition, Library Happening supports the amazing resident-run Plymouth Place Bessie Roose Library. Event includes a top-notch luncheon and an engaging living-history presentation. Recently, award-winning actress Leslie Goddard portrayed a stewardess for Pan Am in the 1960s (’24) and renowned Chef Julia Child (’23).

Romeos & Juliets

The ROMEOs & JULIETs was started by residents who just wanted to get together regularly to enjoy good food and build good friendships. So, the men of Plymouth Place started “Retired Old Men Eating Out”, or the ROMEOs, and in response, the women of Plymouth Place started their own group, “Just Us Ladies Into Eating Together,” the JULIETs. Each group dines offsite at a local restaurant and new friends are always welcome!

Chinese New Year Celebration

Residents enjoy learning about and engaging with diverse cultures, and some even share their traditions with the community. During the Chinese New Year, a small group organized a special performance with the Yin He Dance Company at Plymouth Place.

Go Green Expo

The Go Green Expo was held at Plymouth Place on August 3, 2024 featuring over 15 exhibitors, including the Plymouth Place Horticulture Committee.

Artisan Fair

The annual Artisan Fair returns to Plymouth Place each November, bringing fabulous vendors from inside and outside the resident community. Volunteers make the 2-day event a success.
