Update 4.24.2020

Plymouth Place™ Friends and Family,

I first want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone associated with our community for your continued patience and understanding. Our team continues to work tirelessly, and I’m confident I speak for all of us when I say your letters, calls and gestures of support have been welcomed and deeply appreciated.

It would be disingenuous to say this pandemic hasn’t impacted Plymouth Place, or those of us who live and work here. But it hasn’t changed our passion or steadfast commitment to the residents we serve.

For weeks we’ve operated under widespread precautionary measures as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Illinois Department of Public Health. Our strategies and decisions continue to align with their guidance, including our testing protocols, use of masks and other personal protective equipment, and isolation/quarantine procedures.

Unfortunately, our community is not immune to this virus and some residents have tested positive. Thankfully, we proactively prepared for this possibility by establishing a Dedicated Isolation Unit in our health center. Here, COVID-positive residents are quarantined, closely monitored and receive all necessary care.

It’s vital we all do our part, which is why we continue to reinforce the basic safety measures we now all know so well. More importantly, we continue to evaluate any and all steps needed to protect residents and team members – our primary focus must be on mitigation efforts and limiting further exposure.

As we have from the onset of this outbreak, we will continue to provide open, timely communication with all necessary parties. Regular updates will be posted on our website and additional information can be found in the detailed FAQ below.

Stay safe and stay well.
